Flexibility is the range of motion of a joint or muscle. This is different in every
individual; some people have an excellent range of motion in some of the joints,
but have limited movement the other. If you can tap the toes while your legs
are completely straight than you are flexible enough to perform some exercises and
some flexibility training. If not, you to start with the basics, and never
miss an opportunity to enhance your flexibility. Many people work really hard
to prevent injuries, and this is easily done with regular exercise and proper
stretching of the body.
There are a number of
benefits your body can get form a daily routine which includes stretching or flexibility
training:
• Increases blood
flow and feeds the joints with nutrients
• Increases blood
circulation
• Leads to greater
elasticity of the surrounding tissues
• Improves physical
fitness
• Reduces the risk of
injury to the joints, tendons and muscles
• Reduces muscle
tension
• Reduces stiffness
and muscle tension
• Increases the range
of motion
• Increases the physical
and the mental connection
For best results, you
should practice stretching at least 3 times a week, no matter your age. There
are number of exercise and complete flexibility training routines for this
purpose. Make sure you get one soon enough and start flexing your muscles and
joints on daily basis. By not doing so, you might increase the chances for
creating some health problems like:
• Stiffness of the
body

• Back problems
• Increased risk of
injury to muscles, tendons and ligaments
• Restrictions of movement
